Climate: recognition that rewards concrete action

Daher’s environmental efforts have been recognized by CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), the global benchmark for climate transparency. The Group has been awarded a Leadership (“A-) rating for its contribution to the fight against climate change.

This recognition highlights not only the Group’s climate ambition and the quality of its disclosures, but above all the depth and consistency of the actions already deployed across its operations, products and value chain.

A clear trajectory, aligned with a 1.5 °C pathway

Daher has set a clear climate objective: to reduce its scope1 and2 CO₂ emissions by 50% between 2022 and 2032, in line with the Paris Agreement – a transition already underway, with emissions down 14% since 2022.

This trajectory is embedded in the Group’s governance, with regular monitoring at Executive Committee level and dedicated CO₂ steering committees to ensure alignment between strategy, investments and operational decisions.

Reducing emissions across industrial and logistics operations

Concrete progress is already visible on the ground. Daher has rolled out energy-efficiency and sobriety programs across its industrial and logistics sites, including the systematic deployment of “low-carbon gemba” approaches to identify energy-saving opportunities directly at shop-floor level.

Actions include the replacement of workshop and warehouse lighting with LED technology, optimization of heating and air-conditioning settings, insulation of industrial buildings, and the replacement of aging, energy-intensive equipment.

In parallel, Daher is accelerating the electrification of its uses, for example by replacing gas-fired equipment with electric solutions at certain sites and progressively transitioning its company vehicle fleet toward electric and hybrid models. In France, the Group now covers 100% of its electricity consumption with renewable energy guarantees, while similar approaches are being studied for other geographies.

Acting on fuels and transport emissions

Decarbonization also extends to mobility and transport. Daher is increasing the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for its own flight operations related to aircraft testing and maintenance, with the share of SAF rising significantly year on year and a clear ambition to continue this ramp-up.
For road transport, the Group is expanding the use of bio-based fuels (XTL/HVO) across its logistics activities and has committed to a structured emissions-reduction pathway for purchased transport services through recognized sector initiatives.

Engaging the supply chain

Recognizing that a significant share of emissions lies upstream, Daher has launched a structured supplier decarbonization program. The approach combines carbon-maturity assessments, data collection on suppliers’ emissions, and targeted engagement with the most emissive partners. Climate criteria are progressively being integrated into supplier selection processes, while buyers are trained to co-build decarbonization solutions with the supply chain.

Lower-carbon, more circular products and aerospace innovation

As an aircraft manufacturer and aerostructures supplier, Daher is acting where its long-term impact is greatest: the design of lighter, more efficient and increasingly recyclable products. The Group has been investing for years in advanced composite and thermoplastic materials, which not only enable significant weight reductions compared with traditional metallic parts, but also offer strong recyclability potential, supporting a more circular aerospace industry.

Several components are now designed using thermoplastic composites that can be reused or recycled at end of life, while others incorporate recycled production scrap, reducing material waste. Through eco-design approaches and collaborative R&D programs, Daher is also working to extend product lifecycles, optimize material use and reduce emissions over the full life cycle of aircraft and aerostructures.

Beyond product design, Daher also acts on aircraft operation. The Group is actively involved in collaborative R&D programs on aircraft hybridization, complemented by digital tools that help pilots optimize flight profiles, further reducing CO₂ emissions during operations.

Together, these initiatives illustrate a holistic approach to decarbonization, combining circular design, lower-carbon technologies and smarter use of aircraft.

Transparency and credibility recognized

The CDP “Leadership” rating reflects the robustness of Daher’s climate governance, the reliability of its data and the consistency between commitments and action. In a context where more than 22,000 companies are assessed worldwide, this recognition confirms Daher’s ability to translate ambition into measurable progress.

“This recognition confirms the relevance of our climate strategy and rewards the collective efforts of our teams, who are embedding decarbonization into everyday industrial and operational decisions,” said Julie de Cevins, Chief Sustainability Officer at Daher.

Building on momentum

Daher intends to continue strengthening its climate action by further integrating decarbonization into its industrial strategy, innovation roadmaps and partnerships. The objective remains clear: to actively contribute to the decarbonization of aerospace while building resilient, long-term and responsible performance.
