As the unique lead logistics service provider for ITER since 2012, Daher offers a full range of services dedicated to the world’s largest fusion energy science experiment. From organizing transportation services that originate in ITAR’s seven member regions, along with the global supervision of logistic flows to on-site logistics management and the design of transportation support for ITER’s unique components, Daher’s teams head the project’s logistical management using the latest innovative technologies in the field: Daher Control Room, virtual reality and artificial intelligence.

Daher has a fleet of 163 vehicles specifically manufactured for the transportation of oversized and heavy load transports and the handling of aerospace parts. The company’s teams are involved in the handling and delivery of aircraft parts to the final assembly line, the handling and storage of engines, the transport of large components – including the establishment of regular ground transportation shuttles between the sites of Daher’s customers.

Since 2012, we have managed the logistics of the world’s largest scientific project: the ITER fusion experiment. Risk management is at the heart of this service, and our approach to risk reduction is based on operational engineering, control of QHSE processes and ongoing monitoring of the subcontractor chain. This is piloted from the Daher Control Room for operations starting in the factories of 35 countries, transiting through warehouses and routed to on-site ITER construction shops.

Daher’s Transportation Department provides daily transportation links throughout Europe and the Maghreb on behalf of aviation sector customers. The diversity of our equipment inventory ensures all types of routing: standard transportation, convoys for oversize loads, aircraft on ground (AOG) situations, shuttles and routine shipping. Our technical expertise and know-how in responding to the aerospace industry “atypical” demands, as well as our flexibility and reactivity (versatility, 24/7), are major assets that ensure the loyalty of our customers. This is particularly true in the transportation of wings for ATR regional airliners within France between the STELIA sites in Mérignac and the ATR final assembly at Colomiers, which we have been performing since 1985. This is a 3rd class convoy (32 x 3.5 x 4 meters).
