DAHER, announces two appointments to its General Management team. Thierry Gendre has taken over as head of the Industrial Operations Division, while Olivier Dumas replaces him as Group Quality Director. The new appointments are a further reflection of DAHER’s ambition to achieve industrial excellence.
A graduate of INSA Toulouse, Thierry Gendre brings solid industrial experience developed in the Airbus group, where he held various positions in the design office, later in production and finally in purchasing. Among other things, he was head of the A330/A340 final assembly line (FAL).
Thierry Gendre took over as head of the Industrial Operations Division, comprising 13 production sites, and Group Engineering, on September 1.Thierry Gendre is a member of Daher’s Executive Committee.
In his new role, he will be responsible for accelerating the deployment of Daher’s industrial excellence program and continuing to improve customer satisfaction. His contributions will support the “Succeed Together” strategic plan unveiled in early 2018.
Olivier Dumas joined DAHER in 2014 as Vice-President, “Aerostructures & Systems Programs”. He will take over as Group Quality and Operational Excellence Director on October 1.
A graduate of ENSAE (Sup’Aero), he began his career at Airbus, first in the engineering teams and later as a design office manager.
He subsequently held various purchasing director positions, which included integrating and taking responsibility for Airbus Group general purchasing. Between 2011 and 2014, Olivier Dumas was Director of Operations at the aircraft manufacturer Reims Aviation, before joining Daher.
From October 1, he will be responsible for furthering the Group’s actions to develop the highest possible quality standards and making DAHER a leading player in its markets. He will be in charge of accreditation and certifications.
With this in mind, Olivier Dumas will be leading an independent central department with its own resources, and reporting directly to the Managing Director, Didier Kayat.
